Axel Kuhn and I (John Foreman), the co-founders of ePath, want to use this space to provide you with a new source of ideas on how you can achieve better business results from your eBusiness.
So why do you need a new source of ideas? We think we have a bit of a different twist on things. Often the focus of what you read is on the latest technology, the most recent viral campaign or yet another article on the miracle of social media marketing. Our focus is on business results. More specifically, on how you can use the best available strategies, technologies and techniques to achieve superior business results for your eBusiness.
We call this Results-Driven eBusiness and that’s what this blog is about.
Our goal is to provide you with practical information and insights that will help you in your pursuit of superior business results. We want to cut through the noise, analyze, demystify and generally help you find the ideas with the most value for your eBusiness. Above all we want to bring the big picture, business-results perspective.
In the months ahead, we will share our research, describe best practice approaches, and provide insights and observation on developments in the eBiz world. We’ll also tap into our network and invite guest blogs from interesting voices in the industry.
Axel and I each have our pet topics. One of mine is the use of scorecards for eBusiness performance management, a consequence of my IT background and training in Balanced Scorecard development. Other favourites of mine include innovation in eBusiness, as a result of my association with the Canadian Innovation Centre, and web marketing, which I teach at the University of Toronto.
Axel’s special interests include customer experience engineering, eBusiness diagnostics and eBusiness strategy (which Axel teaches at U of T).
In addition to what we write in this blog, we also publish whitepapers, host webinars, and Tweet about industry developments. For example, we have just published “The eBusiness Diagnostic: Identify the Issues Inhibiting your Online Success”. This whitepaper is based on research we have done into the behaviour of eBusiness leaders to determine the keys to their success.
This same research is also behind our eBusiness Diagnostic tool, which can be used to help managers identify and prioritize the issues that are inhibiting their eBusiness performance. A free version of the tool is available on this website. We encourage you to check it out to see how your eBusiness compares with the industry leaders in the adoption of best practices.
So, welcome to our blog. We hope that it will help you in your own pursuit of Results-Driven eBusiness.
We look forward to your comments and encourage you to share this blog with your colleagues.
